Who is Wonderland Brewing Company’s Creator?

wonderlandbrewingcreator

Ladies and gents, the time has come!

For the past three weeks, we’ve featured “rigorous” interviews from members of the Wonderland Brewing Company crew in hopes of offering some insight into the building blocks of our brewery. Whether the content was silly or serious, our goal was for you to feel a tad closer to our team.

At this point, three teammates have laid it out on the line… Our head brewer bared his soul. Our marketer spilled her guts. Our chief engineer poured his heart out. But, there’s still one more important person left to cover…

That’s right! It’s time for the head honcho, the big cheese, the boss-man – Wonderland’s Bunny Whisperer and Chief Beer Taster. Up last, but certainly not least, is our creator.

Meet our family man/surfing fan/90s music devotee, Robert.

Q. If you had only one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
A. Creative

Q. What is your favorite song?
A. “Summertime Rolls,” by Jane’s Addiction.

Q. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, with whom would it be? Why?
A. A few years ago it would have been Tiger Woods because I love playing golf and it would be interesting to play at that level for a week. However, during that week, how many random women would he have hiding in the shadows?

Q. What makes you love coming to work at Wonderland?
A. Seeing a long time dream come together.

Q. Cats or dogs?
A. Dogs (but cat size, my mini poodle is the man).

Q. What has been your most bizarre life experience?
A. Buying a church and converting it into a brewery. It gets more bizarre each day…

Q. If you were a type of beer, what type of beer would you be? Why?
A. Tough, but probably some type of sour… They take time to make and I’m older now.

Q. What is one thing that you are most proud of?
A. My kids, they are both great people.

Q. A penguin walks through the front door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?
A. Where’s that Lucero dude hiding? Got any burritos?

Q. What are you looking forward to most when Wonderland is open?
A. Has to be the variety of beers in our production calendar (it’s big with 3 yeast strains, which isn’t that simple). Watching the reaction of the community and bringing them together at a great venue, as well. I’ve also lined up some good music for that opening…

Who is Wonderland Brewing Company’s Chief Engineer?

wonderlandengineer

So, you’ve gotten to know our brewmaster and our marketer. Now you’re wondering, “Who is the dude behind the building of Wonderland Brewing Company?” Time to find out!

Let’s take a few steps in our chief engineer’s boots. Meet our hammer specialist/animal admirer/photography aficionado, Bud.

Q. If you had only one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
A. Determined

Q. What is your favorite song?
A. Depends on the genre. I like music anywhere from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Ray Charles, to Carlos Santana to Dwight Yoakam.

Q. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, with whom would it be? Why?
A. The President of the United States, so I could run things my way!

Q. What makes you love coming to work at Wonderland?
A. It’s not a normal routine. I get to face and overcome a new challenge every day.

Q. Cats or dogs?
A. Dogs. I like cats, but I’m allergic.

Q. What has been your most bizarre life experience?
A. Running into someone in Japan from the same neighborhood as me. That really put into perspective how small of a world it is that we live in!

Q. If you were a type of beer, what type of beer would you be? Why?
A. A lager, because I was a lineman for 30 years.

Q. What is one thing that you are most proud of?
A. My kids.

Q. A penguin walks through the front door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?
A. Como esta. Pour me a cold one!

Q. What are you looking forward to most when Wonderland is open?
A. Turning frowns upside down all day long! I’m looking forward to seeing people have a great time. There’s a lot of gratification in that.

Who is Wonderland Brewing Company’s Marketer?

wonderlandbrewingmarketer

Last week we interviewed our head brewer, Joshua, and found out his thoughts on songs, penguins, and working at Wonderland. We still have a few team members to get to know, though, so let’s continue our dive into the lives of the Wonderland Brewing Company crew.

Up next is our marketing and event coordinator. Meet our bookworm/clothing hoarder/party enthusiast, Brooke.

Q. If you had only one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
A. Happy

Q. What is your favorite song?
A. “Radio” by Lana Del Rey. I’m that girl that’s always saying, “I love this song!” though. Whether it’s old school, new school, rock, rap, or whatever, if it’s good, I like it.

Q. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, with whom would it be? Why?
A. Someone who lives on an island. I’ve lived in Colorado my entire life and I’d like to experience living somewhere that is completely opposite of where I live now. I love my home, but a week of sun and beach sounds nice to me.

Q. What makes you love coming to work at Wonderland?
A. Working with people who are very smart, creative, and open-minded. There’s great energy within our company.

Q. Cats or dogs?
A. Cats. I’m the crazy cat lady.

Q. What has been your most bizarre life experience?
A. I’ve been in some strange situations, but in general, I guess it would be being born on my older sister’s birthday.

Q. If you were a type of beer, what type of beer would you be? Why?
A. I would be a seasonal. I’m constantly changing throughout the year, from my hair color to my newest interest, I love switching things up.

Q. What is one thing that you are most proud of?
A. Taking chances last year. I got involved in quite a few new adventures in 2013 and I’m very happy I took the risks.

Q. A penguin walks through the front door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?
A. Hola, Brooke. Think those rabbits outside like my hat? I’m recently single and ready to mingle!

Q. What are you looking forward to most when Wonderland is open?
A. Meeting all of the people who tell us how excited they are about our brewery. I’m looking forward to all of the new experiences that are headed our way!

So far, we’ve offered glimpses of who we are throughout our construction phase, but felt like we could provide so much more to you – our followers.
